Rough Science , the BBC2 programme in which scientists complete challenges using the most basic tools, returned to the airwaves this week. But the series - which aims to attract people to study science - has become a victim of its own success. One of its series' directors, Sarah Topalian, has packed in her job. She will be starting a degree in marine biology at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, in September.
