A world-famous art college is to open a new campus. The Royal College of Art has won planning permission for a new site to house its schools of fine and applied art. Some 250 students and staff will move from the main college campus in Kensington to Wandsworth's Battersea Bridge Road. The first phase of the new campus, which is expected to be ready by 2011, will house workspace for photography, printmaking, ceramics, glass and gold and silver work.
