(Photograph) - St Luke, pictured in St Augustine's AD 580 copy of the gospels, is the oldest manuscript in the Parker library at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. The college is raising Pounds 20 million to rehouse the library collected by Matthew Parker, Archbishop of Canterbury under Elizabeth I, from material surviving her father's dissolution of the monasteries. Parker stipulated that if Corpus Christi loses more than a few books, the collection goes to Caius College. It has not lost anything in 400 years
