Congratulations to Margaret Salmon, who will chair the Sector Skills Development Agency, the body that will oversee the government's drive to increase skills and productivity in industry and business.
Ms Salmon is a director of the University for Industry and former chief executive of BBC Resources.
From April, the SSDA will develop, fund, support and monitor a network of Sector Skills Councils established by employers to work with the government to provide training and close skills gaps.
