A £50 million graduate school for engineers is to be created by four Scottish universities. The Glasgow Research Partnership in Engineering - a joint venture between the universities of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Glasgow Caledonian and Paisley and the Scottish Funding Council - will develop three institutes to focus on engineering research. The graduate school will provide at least 31 research scholarships for training and development.
