The first Scottish Education Mission to Russia, a Scottish Office and trade department backed marketing exercise, was in Moscow earlier this month to advertise the distinctive qualities universities and colleges north of the border have to offer. Scotland's long history of educational excellence and links with Russia dating back centuries gave it a clear market identity, said mission leader Ian Graham-Bryce, principal of Dundee University.
