Glasgow and Strathclyde universities are extending their collaboration with plans for a joint department in naval architecture and marine engineering. The department will combine the resources of Glasgow's department of naval architecture and Strathclyde's department of ship and marine technology.
Teaching will be based at Strathclyde, with experimental research based at Glasgow. The new department will open next August, but the two departments are offering joint postgraduate programmes from now.
