A senior lecturer at the ill-fated La Sainte Union College of Higher Education may be jumping from the frying pan into the fire when he becomes principal of St Chad's College, Durham.

Joseph Cassidy, senior lecturer in ethics and spirituality and former Natfhe rep at LSU, will move on September 1 to the Durham University college. St Chad's gained notoriety earlier this year when its principal, the Reverend Doctor Duane Wade-Hampton Arnold, resigned following controversy over inaccuracies in his claimed qualifications.
