Cambridge University has fallen two places in the Shanghai Jiao Tong University's 2007 world rankings. This year Cambridge is in fourth spot behind Harvard, Stanford and Berkeley.
Oxford stays in tenth place, and Imperial at 23. University College London climbs one place to 25; Manchester two places to 48. The tables can be seen online at http:///ed.sjtu.edu.cn/rank/2007/ ranking2007.htm. The Times Higher publishes its World Rankings in November.
