The University of Texas is lobbying to host the presidential library of George W. Bush.
Larry Faulkner, university president, has plans for two possible sites: one in northwest Austin on university-owned land near the J. J. Pickle research campus; the other on state-owned land closer to the city centre. Dr Faulkner has received a noncommittal thanks-for-the-interest response from the White House.
