Margaret Hodge, Minister for Industry and the Regions, has backed a competition to find the most enterprising university staff and students in the North East of England.
Blueprint, the North-East Universities Business Planning Competition, offers cash prizes worth £35,000 to staff and students with the best spin-off companies and business plans. The final will be held on October 18.
