St Andrews film debut

Scotland's oldest university, St Andrews, is establishing a department of film studies. Dina Iordanova, the department's head, said that although academic prejudice against film studies was dwindling it was "a very progressive move for an ancient university". Professor Iordanova is an expert in Eastern and Central European film.
