Yurii Savelev, rector of the Baltic State Technological University, has been suspended on suspicion of allowing foreign students, including Iranians, to study missile-related technology. The Russian newspaper Kommersant-deyli reported that the suspension order was issued by education minister Vladimir Filippov following claims by the US State Department. The rector has denied all the allegations.
