Student votes urged

A campaign to encourage students to register to vote was launched this week, headed by the National Union of Students West Midlands Area. More than two million young people were not registered at the last election. A West Midlands Area NUS convener said: "At the last general election the student vote was influential in many constituencies. We plan to make it even more crucial at the next election."
