Study contract on 'access to public contracts for small and medium sized enterprises'

The European Commission's Enterprise DG has issued a call for tenders for a study contract on 'access to public contracts for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).'

The aim of this invitation to tender is to select a body or a network of institutions capable of: - creating a statistical database on companies which had access to public contracts published in the 'S' series of the Official Journal of the European Communities in 1999; - carrying out a statistical analysis on access for SMEs to these contracts; - identifying best practice with the aim of improving SMEs' access to public contracts; - proposing performance indicators in order to measure progress relating to SMEs' participation in public contracts.

Duration of the contract: 15 months as from the contract signature.
