Surface modification of materials with ion beams

An international conference on the surface modification of materials with ion beams will take place in Kusadasi, Turkey, from 4 to 9 September.

This biennial event, running since 1976, provides a forum for the international ion beam material surface modification community to present and discuss results and applications.

The scientific and technical content of the 2005 conference will emphasise novel technologies, such as biomaterials and nanocomposites, in addition to industrial applications and emerging research topics. Engineers and material scientists from industry are particularly encouraged to participate.
