Teesside on top-ups

My comments on top-up fees ("Forgo public funds, v-c tells top-up elite", THES, August 25) relate to a joint statement issued by the University of Teesside's governors, academic board and the student union.

The fact that all three branches of the university community joined together to make our position clear is an indication of the depth of feeling on top-up fees at Teesside. The university not only opposes top-up fees, it has also pledged not to introduce them.
