A new disaster management centre at Cranfield University will conduct research and advise the Government on how to respond to major disasters, including terrorist attacks. The Resilience Centre is being run with the Defence Academy, which provides postgraduate education and training for armed services personnel, and will look at issues including chemical, biological and nuclear protection procedures.
