As the Conservatives gathered in Blackpool for their party conference, they indulged in an incentive scheme to win the student vote.
Shadow education secretary Damian Green encouraged students to join the Tory "no fees - no small print" competition by offering the opportunity to win a year's free tuition. Students at English or Welsh institutions who text "no fees 4 (the name of their university)" to 81222 by October 20 will be entered into a draw. The winner will receive payment equivalent to a year's tuition fees. There are ten runners-up prizes of young person's railcards.
