The Big Apple picks base in Bloomsbury

* London's latest academic institution is an affiliate of the private New York University. NYU in London has taken a long lease on a property in Bedford Square, Bloomsbury, and is applying for charitable status.

The first director is American-born David Ruben, former director of the London School of Jewish Studies and a former professor of philosophy at the London School of Economics.
