A university is celebrating its 10-millionth download on iTunesU. The Open University put its first piece of free educational content on the website in June 2008: now, an average of 375,000 downloads of its material are made every week. Martin Bean, vice-chancellor of the institution, said: "Forty years ago, The Open University was created to give more people access to higher education, and we have always used the latest technology and offered our material in a format that inspires our students. We are still leaders in the field."
