Gill Evans, the University of Cambridge professor of history, this week lashed out against her institution again. In an incident catalogued in the Cambridge University Reporter, she notes that Alison Richards, the vice-chancellor, "is using the title of professor to which she is not entitled since she does not have a professorship at Cambridge and no longer has one at Yale".
