Training body says give bosses lead on TECs

Employers should have more say in planning further and higher education by taking the lead in the strategic development of training and enterprise councils, national training organisations have told the government.

In its response to the government's review of TECs, the NTO national council also calls for all TECs to take a more standardised approach to training.

The Institute of Personnel and Development has urged the government to refocus TECs to concentrate on supporting the local economy.
