Researchers at the University of Bedfordshire are examining the fitness levels of young people in their region. The study will compare the effects of different strategies to promote physical activity and its impact on health. Catherine Kerr, reader in physical activity, said: "This study will provide a benchmark of the long-term positive effects of physical activity and help promote fitness strategies among this core age group." The study involves ten- to 14-year-olds from 11 schools.
