Rabbit owners have been invited to bring their animal for a free "MOT" at the UK's first clinic solely for rabbits. The Rabbit Clinic at the University of Bristol's Small Animal Practice, Langford, will carry out the health checks as part of National Rabbit Week (24-30 January). The focus will be on spreading the message that rabbits are "fibrevores", requiring high levels of fibre to maintain dental, digestive and emotional health and wellbeing, the university said. The Small Animal Practice will also hold a "rabbit awareness evening", at which university vets will discuss general rabbit health.
