A scheme that will help to develop students who want a career in the nuclear industry has been kick-started by the University of Central Lancashire. The Nuclear University Enterprise Network, which is similar to existing networks for science, technology and mathematics, has been launched by the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform. Central Lancashire, which runs foundation degrees supporting the nuclear industry, will lead the new network alongside the Northwest Regional Development Agency.
