Golfers could improve their swings thanks to research under way at a London university. Peter Brooks, a PhD student at the University of Greenwich, is using state-of-the-art equipment to analyse golfers' games, with the aim of improving them by 5 per cent. He is analysing players' swings using cameras that capture about 500 frames a second, and is focusing on players with a handicap of five or less. "I'm suggesting that there is a big variation of styles among golfers. At a driving range, the pro will usually say: 'You should do this' - a one-size-fits-all approach," he said.
