A £23 million Logistics Institute to study the movement of goods is due to open at the University of Hull on 5 March. The university hopes the institute will have a "significant impact" on the region, which handles 16 per cent all UK imports through its Humber Estuary port. The institute is funded by Yorkshire Forward and the European Regional Development Fund.
