A Scottish university has held its first degree ceremony in Singapore. The University of Stirling event marked the successful completion of a two-year degree in retail by more than 150 Singaporeans who studied in their home country via a partnership between Stirling and Nanyang Polytechnic. The move was praised by Mike Russell, the Scottish education secretary, who said such links would help to ensure the global competitiveness of Scottish education.
