Work by a masters student in animation will this week challenge some of the world's best modern animated films, including The Golden Compass, Transformers and Kung Fu Panda, at the SIGGRAPH 2008 animation festival in Los Angeles. Kam-Li Cheng, who has just graduated from the University of Sunderland, is a finalist with a film submitted as her MA project, Avatara, which is about the relationship between man and nature.
