Chinese donate 1,000 books to Edinburgh library
The Chinese government is giving almost 1,000 books to Edinburgh University's library, which already houses Scotland's largest collection of Chinese language books. The Chinese consul general in Edinburgh, Liu Jingxue, will present the contemporary reference books and Chinese-language studies texts to the library tomorrow.

Scots theologian to appear on US Thanksgiving TV
The role played by hymns in the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks is to be highlighted to the American public by a British lecturer. Theology lecturer the Rev Ian Bradley, from the University of St Andrews school of divinity, will appear in a major television programme being broadcast by several American networks to mark Thanksgiving Day.
