Building burns at disused Edinburgh campus
A former office block owned by Edinburgh University was last night destroyed in a fire eventually brought under control by almost 60 firefighters. The block, in the university's disused Cramond campus, was scheduled for demolition. A 14-year-old boy has been arrested.

Teenage angst could be clinical depression
Some youngsters who behave like Kevin, Harry Enfield's moody teenager, could be starting to suffer from clinical depression, according to researchers. Exeter University psychologist William Kuyken said: "Sometimes what looks like normal teenage angst can be the start of something more serious - for some it can signal the beginning of clinical depression."

Birmingham kit-car destined for Sierra Leone
A hand-built car created by Birmingham teenagers is being presented to students at a college in war-torn Sierra Leone to help them learn basic mechanics. The kit car, one of eight constructed by Birmingham's Inner City Initiative for Youth, was being handed over by British soldiers in Freetown following an army-backed project for young engineers.
