An anti-affirmative action campaigner is pushing for Colorado to overturn legislation intended to help students from minority groups get higher education places. Ward Connerly plans to place an item on the state's ballot next year banning affirmative action in higher education and public agencies. He may also try to do the same in three other states. Similar measures, lobbied for by Connerly, have already been approved by voters in California, Washington State and Michigan.
