V-cs seek to identify ethnic bars in NHS

Vice-chancellors have launched a research project to help diversify the ethnic make-up of National Health Service staff.

The Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals will commission research into healthcare courses, the bulk of which are now provided by universities. Recruitment trends will be monitored to try to identify the factors affecting recruitment and retention among black and Asian people.
