University and college heads have expressed "grave concern" over the withdrawal of teacher inservice training money from 36 institutions. They have written to ask the Teacher Training Agency to reconsider its decision to write the institutions out of a share of Pounds 20 million in INSET funds - money previously earmarked to support higher education-based inservice training courses for school teachers. Vice-chancellors and principals were shocked to find that the TTA had turned down funding bids from so many institutions.
