Wales branches out

Five research centres are to be created in Wales with £16 million from the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales. About £11 million will support a research partnership between Bangor and Aberystwyth universities to establish centres for coast research, rural environment, advanced materials and devices, and medieval and early modern studies. Some £5 million will go to found a Wales Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience.
