Warwick University has won £6 million worth of funding to research ways of helping crops cope with climate change. The money has been awarded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council. The project, which will be led by Warwick and supported by the universities of Essex and Exeter, will examine how plants balance multiple stresses to help breed hardier crop varieties.
