Aberystwyth University academics have developed computer technology they hope will lead to the fast-tracking of new wind farms. The 3-D software program, from staff in the university's Visualisation Centre, allows users to virtually "walk round" and "fly over" proposed wind turbines in particular locations. It is hoped that the technology will help to accelerate the planning process.
