Bionet, an electronic network linking science museums in the EU, is to be launched next year.
Funded by the European Commission's Directorate General for Research, it willcreate a digital exhibition onlife sciences accessed via the internet and includes debates.
Research commissioner Philippe Busquin said: "Bionet will provide an arena where an objective discussion can take place and citizens can enter into direct dialogue with researchers and policy-makers."
