A workshop in 'Intellectual property and entrepreneurship in the life sciences' will take place in Porto, Portugal on 4 November.
The event will provide information on intellectual property rights (IPR) issues in universities and in science based start-ups. The workshop is aimed in particular at life science specialists, biotech entrepreneurs and CEOs, researchers, PhD students and IPR professionals.
Individual presentations will focus on topics such as impeding and supporting elements in the emergence of the biotech industry in Europe, getting started and IP in the academic setting as well as a pharmaceutical company.
