The EU-STRATA Network on 'Blueprints for an integration of S&T [science and technology] and environmental policy' will host a workshop on 'Instruments for integrating environmental and innovation policy' in Brussels on 26 and September 2002.
To be held at the Representation of the German Federal State of Baden-Württemberg, the workshop will play host to a range of participants from government, research and industry. It will be addressed by representatives from the European Commission's Joint Research Centre and DG Environment as well as Brian Griffin, Minister for environment of Oklahoma State in the USA. They will be joined by officials from the Dutch and German administrations, as well as academics and representatives from industry.
The workshop is organised around three sessions on the following subjects: 'Policies styles to integrate environmental, R&D and innovation policies'; 'Innovation impacts of emissions trading' and 'Policy benchmarking and policy integration in practice'.
