Soldiers have clashed with students at the University of Konkon in Guinea over the death of a chemistry student knocked down while shopping by a taxi driver. When students allegedly destroyed the taxi and wounded the driver, the university authorities suspended them. Students again demonstrated but were confronted by soldiers. The university has been closed down indefinitely.
