how social class affects access to higher education and what institutions are doing to encourage less well-off students is the focus of a nationwide research project.
A team from the European Access Network, based at the University of Westminster, will collect and evaluate examples of good practice for the project, commissioned by vice-chancellors and principals, funding councils and the Council for Industry in Higher Education.
