Announcing the inaugural THE Campus Live US conference which presents universities and colleges with a solutions-focused event

Tom Rosenbaum, the President of California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and Ruth Simmons, President of Prairie View A&M University, are among the speakers for the inaugural THE Campus Live US conference.   The event takes place November 9-10, 2022 at Hilton Los Angeles, Culver City.

The two-day in-person event brought to you by Times Higher Education in partnership with Inside Higher Ed will gather higher education leaders, policymakers, administrators, managers and faculty to showcase solutions, network and share ideas around shared challenges for universities and colleges.

Panelists will answer questions like: “Has higher education lost its political support?” and “what does the removal of diversity obligations mean for personnel, students and institutions?”, as well as discuss faster and cheaper alternatives to degree programs, how to embed entrepreneurship into the curriculum and the new role of the higher education administrator.

The program will capture a diversity of perspectives from across the higher education sector – from community colleges and private liberal arts institutions to the Ivy League and online universities.

Other speakers include the Commissioner of higher education for the Louisiana Board of Regents Kim Hunter Reed and Dean Chang, Chief innovation officer at the University of Maryland. The discussions will be facilitated and enriched by familiar faces in the academic world including Dustin Ramsdell from the Higher Ed Geek Podcast, and Teaching in Higher Ed’s Bonni Stachowiak.

The interactive sessions will offer a range of formats, among them best-practice case studies, panel discussions, keynotes and masterclasses. Guests will also have many opportunities to network and discover pathways for strategic collaboration and problem solving.

The overarching theme of the event is “Operational and institutional survival”. Guests can pick and choose sessions according to their interests from themed tracks titled: “The future of hybrid”, “Innovation and industry”, “Internationalization and global outlook”, “Marketing and communications” and “Student success and inclusion”.
