STUDY AUSTRALIA MASTERCLASSES SHINE AGAIN IN 2022

Following the first ever live Study Australia Masterclass series in 2021, the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and Times Higher Education (THE) and are proud to partner once again on a new live-streamed series.
Study Australia Masterclasses bring our global academic community together, connecting teachers, researchers, students and alumni through live discussion on the issues that matter to us all.
This live series features eight masterclasses delivered by globally-renowned academics discussing hydrogen, agronomy, sustainable development, climate change, the expansion of the universe and more.
THE experts are co-hosting this series with Austrade, offering an impartial analysis of Australia’s capability and standing in each study discipline, and informing and inspiring students globally as they consider studying with Australia.
Phil Baty, THE Chief Knowledge Officer said THE is delighted to partner with Austrade to support students as they make one of their biggest life decisions.

Melissa Banks, Head of International Education at Austrade said live masterclass series engage the global education community by focusing on common challenges and innovative solutions.
“We are delighted to have two Nobel laureates on our new live series program: Professor Barry Marshall (University of Western Australia) and Professor Brian Schmidt AC (Australian National University)”, Banks said.
Upcoming masterclasses in the new live series include:
- Marine Biology in the Tropics
- Infectious Disease Research and Teaching
- Managing Tourism for Sustainability
- Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare.
All interested learners are welcome to attend the new live Study Australia Masterclass series, running until 17 February as part of Dubai Expo and streamed to a global audience. Classes featured in the live series will be available following the event at the Study Australia Masterclass Library.
