About us
THE Student. Getting you where you want to study
For five decades, Times Higher Education has been a trusted voice on higher education across the world. Starting life as an editorial supplement in one of the United Kingdom’s biggest newspapers, we have since established ourselves as a respected global source for intelligence, insights and news on everything to do with university performance.
Our powerful annual rankings, including the World University Rankings and recently-released Impact Rankings, now contain data from more than 3,500 universities in more than 93 countries and regions. A truly global business, 30+ million people visit our website every year to access breaking news, consult our rankings or get up-to-date information on what’s going on in higher education. Among those 30+ million visitors are more than 14 million students looking to make one of the most important decisions of their lives – who to trust with their education. Many of these students are looking to study abroad, using our World University Rankings to better understand which country and university would be the right fit for them.
But navigating the study abroad journey from initial search to first day at university can often be confusing, overwhelming and impersonal. We wanted to help. THE Student was launched to make that decision easier by bringing Times Higher Education’s trusted rankings and expert content together with hand-picked partners to better support that journey. THE Student puts all the steps you need to take to get to your chosen place of study in one place, cutting through the noise and delivering useful, easy-to-digest content and support at every stage of the journey.
THE Student works in collaboration with some key advisors from the sector. You can find more information about the International Education Advisory Board here and our International Schools Advisory Board here.
