About us The King’s Health Partners Clinical Trials Office (KHP-CTO) is a collaboration between King’s College London, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Established to provide a single interface for those wishing to conduct clinical research within the partner organisations, and to ensure that there are common, efficient processes for the set up and administration of clinical trials. About the role Key responsibilities Facilitate the collection and preparation of documentation required to confirm local capacity, obtain R&D theme lead approvals, collate regulatory approvals needed to instigate clinical trials Facilitate the collection of local and regulatory approvals required for the review and implementation of amendments Provide comprehensive advice to external and internal parties for the conduct of clinical trials across the partner organisations. To assist in maintaining the records of the clinical trials portfolios of the partner organisations including the EDGE system and ensuring information added is quality checked To ensure that trials metrics are collected to permit tracking of milestones. To assist in the archiving of clinical trials documentation to meet prevailing regulatory requirements. To maintain a working knowledge of prevailing regulations, guidance, best practices and GCP standards regarding the conduct of clinical trials To ensure confidentiality of commercially sensitive information and that data protection imperatives are respected The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post. According to the current plan, a Faculty of Design will be established at the new campus, offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in Architecture and Urban Design. Qualifications 1. Doctoral degree (or equivalent terminal degree) in Architecture and Urban Design or related areas; 2. A track record in design practice, teaching and research in one or more of the following areas: a. architecture and urban design practice; b. advanced architecture and urban design technology; 3. Extensive experience as a practitioner and educator for senior positions; 4. An excellent record of architecture and urban design projects and design awards is preferred; 5. The University of Southampton is inviting applications for a postdoctoral position in gravitational-wave astronomy. The successful candidate will join Greg Ashton’s STFC-funded programme, Advancing Gravitational-Wave Astronomy Using Artificial Intelligence, to work on computational Bayesian inference methods and their astrophysical applications. Southampton's School of Mathematical Sciences is home to a large research group in gravitational physics, comprising 9 staff members, over 15 postdoctoral researchers, and approximately 15 PhD students. Research in the group includes black-hole and neutron-star physics, gravitational-wave source modelling and data analysis, gravitational self-force modelling and numerical relativity. The group is involved in the LIGO Scientific Collaboration, the LISA Consortium, the Einstein Telescope collaboration and the Cosmic Explorer consortium. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of research in gravitational-wave astronomy. The applicant will have, or be about to obtain, a relevant PhD degree in physics or mathematics. This is a full-time post, available from the 5th of January 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. The post is funded for two years with the possibility of a 1-year extension.
