AUM College of Engineering and Technology is recruiting full-time faculty members as Assistant/Associate Professors for its Civil Engineering Department to start from Fall 2024 Semester.

Job Requirements


	A PhD Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an internationally accredited university.
	Excellent publication records, in particular during the last five years.
	Pursue academic achievements, and have a demonstrable research capability.
	Publish his/her research findings in refereed journals.
	Have a solid commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate level.
	Prepare teaching materials, maintain and improve competence in subjects being taught.
	Ability to work in a diverse, interdisciplinary, and fast-paced environment is essential.
	Have demonstrable skills in oral and written English.
	Industry experience is a plus for this position.

	Guide, lead and mentor students in research projects.
	Engage actively in promoting the growth of AUM and participate in strategic activities and events.
	Participate in departmental and college meetings and activities.
	Serve and support functional activities of departmental committees.
	Supervise and support TAs and lab instructors.
	Undertake any other duties as may be directed by the Head of Department.

Job Description

The successful candidate is expected to prepare and deliver the Accounting (ACT) coursework in an engaging, innovative, immersive, and displace-relevant pedagogical approaches, reflecting commitment, sincerity, integrity, equity, and respect for cultural dimensions while delivering the course material. The responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:


	Teach courses in Accounting (ACT) discipline, such as: Financial Statement Analysis, Financial Accounting, Auditing, Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Financial Accounting, Public Accounting & Taxation, Oil & Gas Accounting, Accounting Information Systems & Data Analytics, Forensic Accounting and Advanced Management Accounting, among others.
	Participate in the departmental activities which includes representation on different academic and support committees.
	Prepare course material, curriculum design and review, program development, assessment of student learning outcomes, and mentor student projects, events and academic fair projects Remain current with the field of specialization by participating in the faculty development programs and activities, serve on task forces, working groups, and student support committees.
	Reflect the highest standards of ethics and collegiality in all interactions, teaching, and publication.
	Meet the necessary deadlines for grades submission and make use of office hours as per the regulations to support student advancement and development.

	A Ph.D. degree in Physical Education/ Sports/ Exercise Science or any other relevant major from an internationally accredited university is required. Demonstrated excellence in teaching and research with a publication track record in indexed journals.

	Prepare course materials such as syllabi, presentations, and assignments in collaboration with other faculty members teaching the same courses;
	Deliver student centered lectures through the effective use of available learning management systems (Moodle and Banner); 
	Administer and grade formative and summative assessments and provide feedback;  
	Maintain regularly scheduled office hours for students; and attend regular faculty meetings; and 
	Conduct research and publish findings by adhering to the institution's policies.

Job Description

	Prepare experiments and test them.
	Deliver laboratory sessions, including pre-laboratory presentations.

	Assist in proctoring exams.
	Support faculty within the same specialized area in research.
