A'Sharqiyah University is based in Ibra, the capital of A’Sharqiyah North governorate , around 100 miles from Oman’s capital Muscat.
The university has six colleges: business administration, engineering, applied and health sciences, arts and humanities, law and language and foundation studies.
The university offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
Its purpose-built campus, opened in 2017, has a layout inspired by sunrays, reflecting that Al’Sharqiyah is the first part of Oman to see the sun each day.
The universty carries out research in materials and energy, public health and well-being, and innovation and enterpreneurship.
