About the role:

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support for the recruitment process at King’s in collaboration with the relevant Recruitment Advisor. This role will work closely with a Recruitment Advisor to manage the recruitment of an allocated faculty/school/directorate of the University and some of the administrative tasks associated with the recruitment process.

This is a fast paced, high volume administrative role and strong attention to detail and organisational skills will be required to be successful in this role. You will be responsible for ensuring that accurate contractual correspondence is issued to candidates and stored appropriately on HR files/systems, conducting accurate and timely pre-employment checks, and onboarding new starters to the payroll system.

You will also be responsible for providing responses to recruitment related requests and queries using our internal communication platforms to track/respond to queries within agreed service level timeframes.

This is a full time (35 hours per week) role and successful candidates will be offered a permanent contract.  The role is hybrid and the role holder will be expected to attend the office in Lavington Street (Southwark) as well as travelling to other King’s campuses in line with business needs.

	Educated to A level standard (or equivalent) with proficiency in English and Mathematics
	Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy in delivery of work

	Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage large workloads independently
	Experience of delivering multiple priorities and working under pressure to tight deadlines

At the Faculty of Psychology, the Institute of Work, Organizational and Social Psychology invites applications for the

Chair (W3) of Work and Organizational Psychology

to be filled as of October 1, 2026.

We are looking for a scientifically outstanding personality (m/f/x) with international visibility in the field of work and organizational psychology. You will fully represent the field of work and organizational psychology in research and teaching. Research specializations in one or more of the following areas are considered as an advantage: digitalization and artificial intelligence in the work context, action regulation in the work context and aspects of ecological sustainability. Your research profile should be compatible with the main research areas of the Faculty of Psychology and other TUD faculties. Participation in joint research initiatives, e.g., research training groups, as well as a willingness to cooperate interdisciplinarily within the framework of TUD's Excellence Strategy are explicitly desired.

We expect extensive teaching experience in the field of work and organizational psychology and exceptional didactic skills. Your ability and willingness to teach courses in English is required. Knowledge of the German language is desirable but not a requirement, however, the successful candidate is expected to acquire sufficient language skills in German within two years of appointment to perform teaching and administrative duties. International visibility through publications and successful acquisition of competitive third-party funded projects is also required. About the opportunity

The School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Decision Support System in Managing Water Assets to develop a system that optimises the management and reliability of waste assets. As part of a Smartcrete CRC-funded multi-industry project, the role involves hands-on research in understanding and modelling corrosion mechanisms, with a focus on improving sustainability and efficiency in waste asset management across various sectors.

Your key responsibilities will be in:


	Developing Decision Support Systems: Design and implement advanced decision support tools to optimise the management and reliability of water and waste assets
	Corrosion Mechanism Analysis: Conduct hands-on research to understand corrosion mechanisms affecting asset performance, nd apply modelling techniques to predict and mitigate their impact
	Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and industry experts on a Smartcrete CRC-funded multi-industry project
	Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and analyse data to inform decision-making processes and contribute to improving the sustainability and efficiency of water and waste asset management
	Reporting and Dissemination: Prepare research reports, publications, and presentations to communicate findings to both academic, industry stakeholders and CRC Smartcrete
	Project Management: Assist in the management of project timelines, deliverables, and milestones, ensuring alignment with research objectives.


About you

About us

Applications are invited for the prestigious King’s College London Prize Fellowships. We want to recruit outstanding postdoctoral basic or translational scientists who are looking to establish their own independent research careers. These awards will provide a generous salary plus running expenses of up to £30,000 for18-24 months.  They will enable appointees to establish their own research programme at King’s and to compete for intermediate-level post-doctoral fellowships from Research Councils, the Wellcome Trust and other funders. The awards may be held in any part of King’s College London but must be focused on biomedical or health-related research.

About the role

To be successful in this role you need to be able to show a body of research outputs and the level of thought leadership and development towards independence required to be competitive as a future research leader.

In this role the applicant will be expected to design and conduct a range of experiments in relation to their research project and prepare and present findings of research activity to colleagues for review purposes.

The applicant will draft and submit research papers to appropriate peer reviewed journals and prepare and submit future funding applicants for grants and fellowships.

The applicant will contribute to the overall activities of the research team and department as required and hold responsibility for ensuring equipment is maintained in working order and assist with laboratory upkeep.

The applicant is to always comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety regulations with responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of others in the working environment and ensure confidentiality on all matters and information obtained during the course of their employment.

The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.
